Chanel Mini Haul……….Avant Premiere de Chanel Is Not A Fictional Saga!
Hope your all happy. You may or may not have seen my Avant Premiere de Chanel. A Sneaky Peek, where i did some swatches of the new Chanel Rouge Coco and Rouge Coco Lip Shines, well i went back to Chanel yesterday and purchased two of the lovely new lipsticks.
The two i bought were in the Rouge Coco Lip Shine range with the new formula offering 30% more pigmentation.
I decided on the shades 81 Fiction and the limited edition, 79 Saga. ( Below left without flash and right with Flash)
I have many pink lipsticks but not many Rouge Coco Lip Shines in my collection. I do love Monte-Carlo as well in Rouge Coco, which is an orange red with a cool tone and i may buy that at a later date because it is permanent. I like the nail polishes but i wasn’t wowed by any of them this time. I am going to wait for the Revelation de Chanel collection to come out and buy Taboo instead, a lovely deep purple with multi coloured micro glitter.
The reason for purchasing this shade was because i think Fiction is a beautifully unique blue toned pomegrante red shade with golden micro glitter, which i have nothing like in my collection and it makes my teeth look lovely and white because of its cool tone. It has a good amount of staying power and leaves a light red stain on the lips after the lipstick itself wears off. A stunning universal shade; it looks almost unwearable in the tube but much lighter on the lips. Gorgeous for evening wear on me. Picture below is in direct sunlight. It looks a lot darker in the bullet but is very wearable. Lovely, in fact.
I bought this one because it is a lovely bright salmon pink with a very mild shimmer, ideal for summer, very wearable for fair skin tones like myself and great for day time wear, it is also limited edition. In the past, i have let the limited editions go by and always ended up regretting it so now, when i see something which is LE and i like it, i just snap it up. The picture below is in direct sunlight and is true to its shade in the bullet in normal light.
There are 8 new formula Rouge Coco Shines available and 6 new Rouge Coco shades too in this collection, so as per usual, something for everyone. Pick up your shade card with 4 of the new shades. Two from Rouge Coco Shine and two from Rouge Coco but be quick.
The Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks do not have as much slip as the old formula and they also feel less watery on the lips but have a great deal more staying power.
I do still prefer the old formula because i like the more moisturizing feel they give; however for the price, i prefer the longevity of this formula. A compromise has been made here but in the end its how long they last that really counts; for me anyway.
Hope you enjoyed my post and i will see you all soon. Take care. ;-)
