Chanel Le Vernis Azure……………………………Blue/Green/Turquoise. You decide!
How are you all? Sorry this is a late post but i have got so behind with my writing as i’m very busy lately! I think i have eight products still waiting to be reviewed. I plan to spend all next weekend catching up because some products are lovely and ideal for summer time.
So back to it. Chanel recently released their L’Été de Papillon Summer makeup collection in late May 2013. Check out the collection here. A mix of bright colours which reflect the scales of a butterfly wing. I loved some of the products and managed to buy the eyeshadow stylo in Moon River, ( selling very well and review coming soon). I also bought the nail polish Azuré. In fact, i loved it so much i splurged on two of them because they are LE.
This shade is a duo metallic one. It appears either turquoise in one light and a gorgeous blue in another. Very easy to apply and comes in the texture of the other metallic shades they released a couple of years ago in Peridot, Graphite and Quartz.
This formula works better for me than the opaque creamy formula they used on Fracas etc. I just think it goes on the nail more smoothly from first coat without feeling clumpy, which can happen with their creamy formula nail polish.
The base has green in it like Peridot but is a much more beautiful shade, (i am not a fan of peridot at all).
I applied two coats and then the Dior Gel coat over it. Interestingly, the Dior gel coat does not really do anything for this type of nail polish formula at all but i guess it slowed down any chipping. The Dior Gel Coat looks stunning on creamy formula nail polishes instead.
I do love this shade and am so glad i bought two of them because according to my Chanel SA, it is selling pretty fast and there will be no more deliveries of it once it runs out. I suggest if you like it, get it quick before you end up paying ridiculous prices for it on other certain websites.
Have fun and i will be see you all soon, 😉
