Guerlain Terra Tropica Bronzing Duo………………Golden Sunlight in The Tropics!
Guerlain have released a couple of beautiful bronzing powder palettes once again this year from the Sun Celebration Collection, marking their 30th anniversary of Terracotta bronzers. One of them is excusive to John Lewis and i am madly in love with it already. Guerlain just do fantastic bronzing powders.
The first one is a bronzer with both a peach and pink blusher and the one i bought is a brown bronzer with golden shimmer and a peach blush with golden shimmer also. The brown part is equivalent to number 3 in the moisturizing bronzing powder from Guerlain.
My skin is NC20 tone and this bronzer works beautifully with it and i would say up to mid skin tones too. It offers that sunkissed, just tanned look with just the brown shade. Mixing both together gives a slightly peachy bronzed finish and using the blush on its own gives a lovely healthy glow to the cheeks. The bronzer also blend out well and is great for contouring while leaving a lovely shimmer on the skin with no obvious heavy sparkles.
I say every year that i don’t need yet another bronzing powder; however, Guerlain once again, have wowed me.
Comparing it with offerings from MAC, Dior (who both opted for quite unflattering matte bronzers this year, on my skin anyway), Chanel and Estée Lauder, Guerlain have brought out the best bronzing powders this season.
The packaging is made of large round black plastic which is quite good to get a large fluffy brush into. It’s quite sturdy with a large mirror and even though it isn’t my favourite packaging by Guerlain, it still does the job.
It contains 16gms of product; combining the two, I would split the bronzer equally to 8gm and the blush also at 8gm. The Guerlain Terracotta Four Seasons Bronzer is 10gm/ £47.00 and this costs £45.00. So less bronzer but it also has a blush combined and a couple of bronzed tones can be created.
There is a mild talc like fragrance that hasn’t given me any irritation on my skin and isn’t strong like the it is on the Meteorites, which don’t irritate my skin either.
The bronzer and blush do stay put all day without going patchy or oxidizing on my combination/dry skin and the golden shimmer carries on through out the palette once the over spray has gone.
The only negatives i can find are that it is quite a large palette, so not ideal for travelling or leaving in your handbag. The blush will still work very well on darker skin tones but i don’t think the bronzing part would show up so well.
Once again, a stunning natural tanned finish from the Guru’s of bronzers. Guerlain do it again.
What’s your favourite bronzer? Have a great day everyone and i will see you all soon. 😉
