Dior Maximizers………………..Maximize Those Luscious Lips and Lashes!
There’s nothing i love reviewing more than mascara and lipsticks. I have used many mascaras over the years and always end up back with the old faithfuls.
I managed to get the gift set for a knock down price of £15 online and jumped on it before it sold out, (which it did the following day). The gift set contained a free trial size version of the Diorshow Lash plumping Maximizer along with a full size black Extase mascara.
Lash Serum Base Maximizer.
This is a lash base product that can be used in several ways.
First, it can be used as the base coat for applying mascara over it. It lifts, separates, thickens and curls the lashes, reinforcing them and keeping them in place. You can keep lashes looking like this for a natural finish or then you can apply a coat of mascara over them.
Second, it can be applied overnight to the lashes to revitalize and encourage lash growth and strength. It contains Hyaluronic acid.
I’m not sure about the latter; however, i use it as a base coat for my extase mascara and it does a fantastic job. This means i only need one coat of extase to keep my lashes very long, thickened, separated and curled without having too thick lashes when two coats are added to begin with.
Above left, no product, middle eye with Dior Maximizer applied and right eye is with Dior Extase.
Diorshow Extase Mascara.
Without a doubt, my number one mascara. I love everything about it from the no clump formula, which lasts months and months of everyday use to its gorgeous lash brush, which picks up even the tiniest lashes and coats them so well with mascara. Curls my lashes and thickens them.
The only negative comment i could have with this mascara is that it will not make short lashes very long. I have quite long lashes anyway, so it’s ideal for me for lifting and curling; but, it will not be great on short lashes. Clinique high lengths and Lancôme Definicils will give you long straight, separated lashes.
Dior Addict Lip Maximizer, 005 Fresh Pink.
This shade is new in the Dior Trianon Spring makeup Collection 2014. It has a collagen enriched formula to plump out the lips and it really works. Dior say that lips will be transformed after 15 days and become more smooth and re-hydrated. I have been wearing it now for about 10 days and my lips do feel much softer.
I love how it plumps out the lips and lasts a good couple of hours too.
I apply my lip pencil and then smooth this on my lips. Leave for 10-15 minutes and then i apply my lipstick. It gives lipstick a lovely smoothing effect across the lips. Lovely formula. It can be applied over the lipstick to give a lip gloss effect. Worn by itself, it doesn’t really give much colour to lips, just a tiny hint of pink.
It does make the lips tingle and feel refreshed but without being too harsh, like cheaper versions and it only lasts about ten minutes.
One of Dior’s top sellers and i’m hooked. I will be using this everyday from now on.
What do you use to maximize lips and lashes? Take care and i will see you all soon. 😉
