Dior Rouge Baume Lipstick, 660 Coquette…………Fun and Flirty Lips.
Yes, I’ve only gone and bought another lipstick! I’ll be honest though; i wasn’t going to bother with the new Rouge Dior Baume lipsticks. HONESTLY!! I just saw them as being carbon copies of the Chanel Rouge Coco Shines.
I thought it was quite interesting that Peter Phillips had defected to the other side and hey, Voila! Here are some very familiar lipsticks.
Well i don’t believe that is too far off the truth; although, i do happen to really like these new lipsticks.
I love the packaging. It isn’t square, rather more rectangular in shape. Dark blue casing with a silver centre, very classy and similar to the Dior Rouge lipsticks.
There is a 0.2gm more product (3.2gm). The Chanel version, 3 gm. It probably only translates into one more swipe of the bullet across the lips but they are also £1.00 more than the Chanel equivalent. The CD initials are imprinted into the top of the lipstick, which disappears on first use.
The colour appears highly pigmented in the bullet and it is on the lips too. There is also a lovely selection of colours for all skin tones.
Dior rouge baume lipsticks contain crystal oil!! Which apparently helps plumps the lips. I didn’t feel that it plumped mine; however, the lipstick feels lovely and moisturizing on the lips and doesn’t dry out at all. Great for the winter.
I tried out a few colours on the back of my hand and decided on this one. I wanted them all, by the way.
It is a gorgeous plum/mauve pink shade that translates into a high shine moisturizing lipstick on the lips. The colour is highly pigmented and stays put for a good couple of hours, providing you don’t eat anything.
This is very like the Chanel Intense Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks I didn’t really notice any difference in the slip or intensity in either. It is much more pigmented than the original Rouge Coco Shines though. The original Rouge Coco Shines are more of a true lip balm, in that they are lighter in shade and impart a very watery feel to the lips.
(Above left; original formula Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipsticks, centre; Dior Rouge Baume Lipsticks and right is the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Intense formula lipsticks).
If you’re like me; a lipstickoholic! Then you will absolutely love these. I do!
If you already own a few of the Chanel Rouge Coco shine Intense lipsticks, You don’t really need this. But hey! Since when did we ever buy beauty items because we NEED them? Be honest now !!!
The Rouge Dior Baume Lipsticks do give a lot of moisture, shine and colour intensity to the lips; but, do expect to re-apply a few times during the day.
Great winter lipstick for day wear and i will be buying more.
They are a lovely addition to the Dior lipstick range and to my handbag.
Sucked in once again!
Have you tried them out yet? What are your thoughts and favourite shades? Take care and i will see you all soon. 😉
