Battle of The Dry Shampoo’s…………….Lank, Lifeless or Life Saving!

Hi There,

I love doing ‘Battle of The’ posts. It gives me a chance to really give new products a try out and test them against my favourites.

I have been waiting for the Colab dry shampoo to come down in price. Not sure of how it would work, i didn’t want to pay full price for it.

Dry Shampoo Colab and Charles Worthington and Batiste

Without further hesitation, let’s get stuck in.

Batiste Dry Shampoo 200ml/£3.99.

A firm favourite of mine. I stock up on this constantly when it’s on offer.

I am lucky in a way because i have blonde hair which never shows any dry shampoo white powder residue, so this isn’t a prerequisite for me in buying it.

Brunettes can try out the version especially made for them though, so it’s not a big deal for them either.

It gives my hair body and brings it back to life. Comes in many great fragrances, gives my hair a bit of lift and a little goes a long way, making it great value too. It also lasts the whole day and i have put it on and slept overnight and it’s still great the following morning.

I give this one 9/10. It loses one point because of white residue left in my brush.

Batiste Dry Shampoo

Charles Worthington  Salon At Home, Style Setter Dry Shampoo. 103gm/£5.99

Comes in one very nice sweet floral fragrance and works very well with little product. It doesn’t leave any hint of white residue at all on my roots or in my brush. Lasts the whole day too.

My only gripe and; it is a very miner one, it doesn’t give my hair a great deal of lift.

I give this one 8/10. It loses one point for lack of lift and one point for being super expensive. Great product with a lovely fragrance.

Aussie Miracle Instant Dry Shampoo. 180ml/£4.71Aussie Miracle Dry Shampoo

I don’t have the can of this anymore as i binned it. Should have kept it for the photos!!

I found this product fairly useless. I had to use a ton of product for it to work and it didn’t give my hair any lift.

I know this is only my opinion and others may love this product. I just didn’t think it was good value at all.

I give this product 4/10. It didn’t leave any white residue on my hair and that’s why i’m being so generous with my score!

and Finally!

Colab Sheer Invisible Dry Shampoo 200ml/£3.49

I really like Ruth Crilly from ‘A Model Recommends‘. I have bought many products based on her recommendation and she always gets her reviews spot on and this is why i waited with great anticipation to try her dry shampoo out.

I thought i would try out the sheer invisible version in the fragrance, Rio.

I have to be very honest here. I never go for celebrity endorsed products. Ever! I’ve seen other bloggers offerings out there and i’m not in awe so, i was a little skeptical about this dry shampoo.

I needn’t have worried. It’s excellent! It has a lovely scent and works a treat with no residue whatsoever and i think it really gives my hair lift and bounce. I only needed three sprays to give my hair it’s life back.

Colab gets 10/10. I honestly can’t find any fault. Time to stock up.

Colab Dry Shampoo

Final Thoughts.

Other than the Aussie Miracle, i would buy the others again.

Batiste is a staple of mine and i have been using it for years now and then; Colab comes along and throws a spanner right in the works with one that is completely divine.

I don’t think i’m going to be hanging up the Batiste can in any hurry though; although, i will alternate between Colab and Batiste and it will all come down to cost and how easy it is to get hold of. Batiste is sold in many more places than Colab at the moment. Although, i can see that changing.

I trust Ruth Crilly as a product reviewer and she has now put her name to an excellent product as well. I hope she does so with more hair care products in the future.

Do you use dry shampoo? What is your favourite? Take care and i will see you all soon. 😉
