Bobbi Brown Greige Eye Palette…………….Grey/Beige Dull! NEVER.
I recently purchased this gorgeous palette of neutrals in shades of grey/beige; hence the name greige.
I go through phases with makeup and i’m currently loving neutrals with a different slant on them hence, buying this palette.
The BB one really caught my eye because it offers gorgeous grey/beige and soft brown shades which are just a little different. The packaging is gorgeous too. A soft material effect, smokey steal shade and it closes with a magnet. Elegant and just lovely!
There is a lot to offer with eight shades which create many effects with different finishes.
A great palette for travelling and isn’t too weighty. Each shadow is 1g in weight.
The Palette Itself.
The palette offers eight shades consisting of; 2 sparkle, 4 matte shades and 2 shimmer shades; which includes;
- Bone…… a matte ivory. A staple of BB’s. Ideal for highlighting
- Twinkle …. sparkle eyeshadow. A light beige with sparkle for highlighting.
- Brown Haze…..shimmer wash eyeshadow. Mid toned brown with golden shimmer.
- Slate…..matte eyeshadow. Soft grey/brown.
- Greystone……….matte eyeshadow. Mild grey/brown tone.
- Earth Metal……sparkle eyeshadow. Sparkling golden mid toned brown.
- Greige.……matte eyeshadow. A lovely grey/beige.
- Fog…..Deep slightly shimmering grey. Ideal for lining.

Bone is not one of my favourites from BB; but i mix it with twinkle and it really comes to life. Brown haze is lovely to lay over other colours to take away that matte edge, which doesn’t look good on crepe/mature eyes.
Slate is great to blend up through the lower lid into the upper lid to create the start of a smokey eye or for a crease colour.
Greystone is ideal to lay down on the lower lid with twinkle or earth metal over it.
Greige is just a fab all over lid shade too and Fog is ideal for lining upper and lower lid. It is a great colour to create a deep smokey eye with.
If i compared this to any other palette i own, it’s slightly similar to Chanel Les Matellasées quint eye palette, Charming. (Swatches below)
This one offers warmer, intensely pigmented shades with a purple liner shade and it creates a very dramatic smokey eye; whereas, BB Greige offers a cooler smokey eye that is ideal for day wear. In the past; i have bought a couple of BB eye palettes and the fall out of her sparkle eyeshadows was a little ridiculous to the point, in which it completely put me off buying anymore. The problem would be that the sparkle would start out on my lids and then end up on my cheeks within a couple of hours.
Great on a night out but certainly not ideal for work.
I am pleased to say that this palette had very minimal fall out and this only occurred with the darker shades and very little. No sparkle at any time ended up on my cheeks. Also the colours were pigmented and blended very well into each other.
This is a great eye palette to create many looks and especially smokey eyes. Soft or deep.
Lovely pigmented colours.
Quick and effortless with only one palette to work with.
Ideal for travelling.
No brushes supplied.
Roughly one gram of each eyeshadow, making it quite expensive.
Tiny amount of fall out from the two darkest shades.
Eyeshadows could be more buttery smooth.
Overall, a gorgeous, unique, universal, cool toned neutral palette. This palette will never get boring to play with and contains great Autumn/Fall shades with Greige just being lovely.
I would have liked more buttery eyeshadows for the £52 price tag; however, comparing this to BB palettes from a few years ago; these are some of the best eyeshadows BB have produced and i’m just nit picking, because they are still great quality.
What is your favourite neutral palette? Take care and i will see you all soon. 😉
