Chanel Rouge Coco Swatches…..Rouge Coco Lipstick 462 Romy, Stylos 206 Histoire; 214 Message & Rouge Coco Shine 91 Boheme.

Hi Everyone,

I thought i would take this opportunity to do a few swatches of the new Rouge Coco Stylos because i got a sample card. What my thoughts are on each of the shades and formulas of the lipsticks themselves.

Chanel Rouge Coco Sample Card(1)

Rouge Coco Lipstick, 462 Romy.

Rouge Coco Lipstick 462 Romy SwatchA very warm fuchsia pink. It sadly, highlights the yellow on my teeth and is a bit too pink for my skin tone. Another great one for those who love rich warm pink shades. I have quite a bit of yellow in my skin tone and this just clashes with it. Very Chanel Rouge Coco lipstick 462 Romy and Rouge Allure93 Exalteepigmented and feels a touch drying on the lips. The thing is; its a compromise with lipsticks really. Pigmented shades that lasts for hours on the lips are generally, a touch drying. This shade has a satin finish.

Pictured right you can see the difference between a warm fuchsia and a cool one.

Rouge Coco Stylo, 206 Histoire.

Chanel Rouge Coco Stylo 206 Histoire SwatchA very warm red shade with a nice amount of pink undertone. Very wearable. Lovely for a statement lip and suits my skin tone very well. A dream to apply and although they begin to wear off a within a couple of hours, they do leave a stain on the lips. Very nice! I love the fact that they contain oil as well. It gives a lovely slip; yet, the pigmentation is outstanding.

Rouge Coco Stylo, 214 Message.

Chanel Rouge Coco Stylo Swatch 214 MessageAn absolute dream to apply. Feel beautiful and soft and watery yet; exceptionally pigmented. I can’t wait to buy a couple of these. They are lovely. Give a rich, glossy deeply pigmented finish to the lips. No lack of colour with these at all.

Message is a reddish brown shade. It suits my skin tone very well and is my favourite of all these i have tested. I have yet to check out the other shades, so i will hang fire on buying this one just yet.

Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick, 91 BohΓ©me.

Chanel Rouge Coco Lipshine 91 Boheme swatchA really lovely formula. Balm-like and very pigmented pink shade. If you like warm deep pinks, this is for you. Great staying power for a Rouge Coco Shine lipstick.

Final Thoughts.

I love the formula of the new Rouge Coco Stylos. They feel watery and very moisturizing on the lips. Jojoba, coconut oil, beeswax and silk powder are some of the ingredients added to the formula and leave a lovely glossy, deeply pigmented finish.

It’s interesting the difference between the Rouge Coco Shines and the Rouge Coco Stylos. I don’t believe i will ever move away from the lip shine because of it’s care free, no mirror required, effortless finish; however, i love the way the Rouge Coco Stylo feels on the lips. The deep colour and gloss will make this a great evening wear lipstick as well.

The only thing to be aware of with the stylo’s is, once they are wound up, they cannot be wound back down. It only takes a minute amount of product for the lips so, use sparingly or you may lose a lot of product.

Chanel Rouge Coco Shade Card

My Beautiful FluffyThe Rouge Coco lipsticks feel a touch more drying on the lips; however, have the biggest staying power of all Chanel lip formulas. I have no issues with these at all and some of them i will add a gloss over the top to give a more interesting finish again.

In a nut shell, i love Coco.
