April Favourites……….Fools Gold!
The weather is starting to warm up and i have been getting my spring colours out to brighten up my face a bit. I have also been using some very old products from years ago and they are going just as strong.
Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel 4 Facettes Bronzing Powder.
Talking of golden oldies, this is quite old (2009). This was the first bronzing powder i ever owned and it’s still fantastic and pigmented. If you were ever wondering why i rave about Chanel makeup so much, this is the reason. An eight year old bronzing powder with a generous 14g of product that still feels velvety smooth. It is a lovely shade that looks natural and not orange. It’s been warming up my complexion for Spring.
Garnier Oil Infused Micellar Water.
I happen to like the cost-effective Garnier Micellar Water for a quick once over cleanse after washing my face. It’s easy, great for any skin type and lasts ages. When they released the oil infused one, i had to have it.
Yet again, thoroughly impressed. This one not only cleanses, it also leaves the skin supple and soft. I don’t suffer from dry skin but those that do are going to love this water. A winner for the high street.
Dior Addict Fluid Shadow, 655 Univers.
A silvery cool taupe that i use all over the lid and it sets down without moving or creasing the whole day. Doesn’t fade either. I did want to buy more of these but i find some of the shades a bit too much. Love this one though.
Love these sticks from Chanel. Reviews here and here. Caroube is a warm, deep brown shade with micro-shimmer. Fantastic for a crease shade and a even though they set quickly, you still get time to blend them out. This shade will work with any shade you use and suit every eye colour. Very universal.
Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Eyeshadow, 16 Bronze Sugar.
One of my favourite eyeshadows since i bought this pot approx. 4 years ago and it’s still going strong. Its a lovely warm, deep bronze shade and works well with copper tones to enhance blue eyes. A no fuss eyeshadow again; sets and stays put. I like the no fuss options.
Dior Fusion Mono Long Wear Mirror Shine Eyeshadow, 631 Blazing.
I have always liked these pot type eyeshadows and the Dior ones have a lovely feel to them and subtle shades that are not too shimmery. Full review here.
Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long Lasting Eyeliner, 911 Ambre Doré.
Anyone who reads my blog will know, i love these eyeliners so much. No other company can produce such a lovely variety of interesting colours that work well on anybodies eye shades and in the waterline, tight line or for lining around the whole eye.
Most who do make more interesting shades, make them with the kohl formula that can’t be worn on the waterline or for tight lining either.
Ambre Doré is a gorgeous light warm amber shade that will work very well on blue, brown and hazel eye colours. I have been wearing this one a lot lately and i’m so glad i bought a back up of this because, i am almost out of my first one and this was a limited edition shade.
I wish Chanel wouldn’t do that!
That’s it for my April favourites. Hope you like them. Take care and i will see you all soon. 😉
